Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Bisected Hot Dogs, Evita Cosplay & a Yellow Leather Jacket

Before anything else this week, we want to acknowledge the heroes who have been protesting on the streets. We do this show to talk about difficult topics in a silly way. There is nothing silly about what is going on. History happening all around us and we stand with the protestors and say the names of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery and Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner and Sandra Bland and all the others who have lost their lives to police brutality.

Listen to and amplify Black voices. Black Lives Matter.

If you have the resources, here are a few links to some great charities that we have given to over the week. This is in no way a complete list, it is only a starting place.

-Minnesota Freedom Fund

-George Floyd Memorial Fund

-The Emergency Relief Fund

1992 is the year this week, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the film! Erika and Paul are both out as Buffy the TV show super-fans, so it’s time for them to take a good hard look at the movie that started it all. Along the way, they wonder what happens to all the vampire corpses (they don’t dust in this world!), speculate on where in LA some of these scenes take place (haunted ballroom?) and Erika is forced to take a good long look at some of her fashion choices from the 90s (cutoff denim shorts!). You don’t want to miss this one, so download and enjoy!

-Both of your hosts encourage you to just watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the TV show.
